Run No 1

Glen set off at a cracking pace at Montserrat's inaugural hash. David found the first false trail which took him down to salem instead of the right way past ram's, a move he regretted for the rest of the run. Rusty Bollocks' and Moose Dick's trail took the pack past the Montserrat National Trust up to salem campus. Amos found a false trail but did a remarkable job of catching up with the rest. The trail led down past the attic where the permanent secretary for health was spotted walking in the opposite direction. Glen, so superfit, ran back to reassure the pack they were on the right trail. The pack valiantly tried to follow the sparsely laid trail (what happened to the chalk?) off to Geoff's roundabout then the long slog back a killer of a hill, run only by glen, staggered by the others. Then back to riverdale where the runners couldn't figure out why they got back so long before the walkers.

Meanwhile, the walkers, led by Moo Stick, enjoyed a leisurely stroll on a slightly shorter version of the full run.

But any calories walked/run off were swiftly replaced at the on on - well, a person has to slake a thirst somehow, and Rexford had provided that excellent chicken and sandwiches. Entertainment was provided by the famous calypsonian from pwd who didn't recognize john as the bloke who'd given him a lift the previous day.

From run no 2, the montserrat hash will be known as Montserrat 'ash house harriers
